This Privacy Policy explains what information Bookkalakar collects, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It applies to the Bookkalakar website and related services (the "Platform"). This page is maintained by the Bookkalakar team.
Account information — name (or band name), email address, mobile number (with +91 country code), account type (individual or band), and password (stored hashed, never in plain text).
Listing information — stage name, city, categories and skills, price range, bio, cover image, gallery, and any custom tags you add.
Enquiries and bookings — event details you share when contacting an artist (event date, city, budget, message) and any WhatsApp/phone contact you initiate through the Platform.
Contact messages — anything you send via our contact form.
Technical data — basic device, browser, and log information to keep the Platform secure and diagnose issues. We do not run third-party ad trackers.
To operate the Platform: create and secure your account, show your public artist profile, match hosts with relevant artists, deliver enquiries, respond to your messages, and improve the product.
We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your data for third-party advertising.
Published artist profiles (stage name, city, categories, bio, images, price range) are public and visible to anyone. Your login email, phone number, enquiries, and contact messages are not public — they are shared only with the counterparty needed to complete an enquiry, and with us.
We share information with:
The counterparty of an enquiry — when a host enquires with an artist, the relevant contact details and event brief are shared with that artist, and vice versa.
Service providers — our backend hosting, database, storage, and email delivery are provided by Lovable Cloud and its underlying infrastructure partners under contract, purely to run the Platform.
Legal and safety — where required to comply with law, enforce our Terms, or protect the rights and safety of users and the public.
Data is stored in a managed backend (Lovable Cloud) with row-level security applied to user data, admin access gated by role checks, and passwords hashed by the auth provider. No system is perfectly secure — we work to protect your data but cannot guarantee absolute security.
We use only the cookies and local storage needed to keep you signed in and remember basic preferences. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
You can access and update most of your information directly from your dashboard. You can also ask us to correct or delete your data, or export a copy, by writing to us via the contact page. We'll respond within a reasonable timeframe.
We keep your information while your account is active and for as long as needed to provide the Platform and comply with our legal obligations. When you delete your account, we remove or anonymise personal data, except where we're required to retain records.
The Platform is not directed to anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we'll take appropriate action.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date and, where reasonable, notified in-app or by email.
